"Attack each day with enthusiasm unknown to man"
This is a motto I like to use as an affirmation. When you wake up, you may find yourself in various moods, but it’s up to you to decide how your day will unfold. If you give in to the dark and gloomy side of things, you start the day already defeated. But if you embrace brightness, the opportunity to breathe, move, and simply exist, the possibilities are endless. Your mind is your most vital tool for survival, and how you use it will shape your experience throughout the day. Even in prison, where the view is far from beautiful, this truth remains.
Looking out the window can be depressing. Instead of grass, I see big rocks, old buildings, and wired fences. But I refuse to let my surroundings determine my attitude. You have to stay engaged—an active participant in this game of life. For me, focusing on beautiful thoughts is what helps the most.
We have an amazing ability to imagine anything we want—and we can make it a reality. When we choose high energy over low energy, it’s transformative. Isn’t that incredible? It’s impossible to be a good person and not attract good things. As human beings, we have extraordinary qualities. We can use our minds in powerful ways, ways that can literally open doors.
Yes, some days will be difficult, but days turn into weeks, then months, and then years. They don’t have to be spent in defeat. They can be spent building strength, fostering creativity, and achieving growth and success.
So, uplift yourself. You never know who might be watching, and your approach to life can inspire someone else. Times change, and they will keep changing. Remember: trouble doesn’t last forever. Take life one day at a time, and before you know it, you’ll see just how far you’ve come.
